Vidya,

A very beautiful song and you sang it really good. I felt little more energy would make it sound perfect.

Purely musically speaking, it was flawless, on spot. But a little more expression would have made it even better- the naughtiness that Asha ji is best known for... :)
(BTW I think its not just "khafa", but something like 'hkhafa' - that Urdu sound, if u get what I mean... like in 'khushi' and other similar words - the 'h' is stronger than the 'k' sound)

Srividya,
You have rendered this so beautifully, the flexibility in your voice is just amazing. You were very much near the original!

Thankyou MG, Pranati for visiting my blog.
Deblina & Sindhuja,
I become very conscious while singing Asha and Lata's songs..:) Perhaps, that is why I lost out on expressions:) They are so difficult to master, especially Asha's style!
Thankyou for pointing it out, will hopefully improve in future renditions:)

You sang it nice, but it requires more energy, especially during the charanams, Ashaji's songs are always tough to replicate, you have done justice to the singing part but sorry i can't say same about the energy and feel of the song.

Hi Srividya,

Came here late ... but glad I did. You have done a wonderful job with the song.

I notice that the pitch and tempo of the track is lower and slower than original. The track itself sounds somewhat empty and energyless. And that could be why many felt that your energy was lacking.

Expressions are great and original on "sau iltija'ain liye", "Sach kaho na", and "Maine tujhe zara der main jana" in the same antara.

Variations on "O mere sona re" around -2:11 are very nice!

Thanks for sharing!

Those electronic beats are no match to the live orchestration but still you have done well on this song ..:-)..Liked it...Looking forward to more Ashaji's songs from you :-)

Vidya - Liked it very much. Liked the subtle but difficult brigha in one of the middle "so..na" re.

And I must add this:

In these recent renditions there is one distinct quality that you have displayed. In many of your earlier songs, you would have very minor off-notes. As Sindhu noted, your singing is flawless these days. You have pretty mcuh rectified even those tendencies for minor errors which indicate the sharpness of your ears and voice and your attention to detail. Very well done.

Srividya...

May be all of them were right in saying about the energy level ...But to me I felt the song very good. I really enjoyed. Excellent expressions. And very well modulated voice too...

All the best...
